FFE Smoke Detectors
Background: Fire Fighting Enterprises (FFE) is the Worlds largest independent manufacturer of infrared optical beam smoke detectors, with well over half-a-million beams sold.
For FFE, Product Partners designed and developed the FireRay 5000, an infra-red smoke detection device to provide early warning of fire in retail, recreational and commercial premises.
Brief: Product Partners we're briefed to design, develop and implement the FireRay 5000, i.e.; the high level Detector Unit and the low level System Controller. The project included; a thorough assessment of user requirements, the development of aesthetically pleasing and robust casings, adherence to strict materials constraints and easy installation through simple 'first-fix' 'second-fix principles.
