MediTek Stair Lift
Background: Established in 1995, MediTek now compete at the top of the booming UK stair-lift market.
Brief: Increasingly smaller houses dictate smaller domestic products. Stair-lifts, often reluctant purchases, are usually engineered and not designed - a total design review and cost / size reduction was required.
Result: A pleasing, soft and friendly form - appropriate for domestic interiors and an older generation. The motor housing part count was reduced from eight mouldings to only one, therefore drastically reducing production and assembly costs.
